#President Muhammadu Buhari may have brought joy to the majority of the citizens of #Nigeria following his swearing in on Friday, but it appears those behind #terrorism in the country are bent on frustrating his administration just like they did to his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan.
In the space of four days after being sworn in as the #president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the nation has witnessed at least two bomb blasts that have resulted in several casualties.
The latest of the bomb blasts occurred on Tuesday June 2nd, 2015, at #Kashuwa Shannu, near #Gumnoru market, in #Maiduguri the capital of #Borno State, sending a minimum of twenty persons to their early graves.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the blast occurred at 12:15pm, killing more than 20 people and leaving several others injured.
Garba Mali told SaharaReporters on phone that “a hawker selling medicine pretended to gain access to a slaughterhouse in the market, who then detonated a bomb killing 20 people and injuring many others.”
For #Channels TV, “the bomb was said to been concealed under a butchers table in a meat market.”
As at the time of filing this report, President #Buhari was yet to release a statement on the suicide bomb attack.
