The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, has issued a directives that all the suspected cultists arrested in #Edo State last month be charged to court.
The directives to arraign the suspected cultists in court was issued considering the fact that the men of the police force had completed their investigations on the suspected cult confraternities leaders and members.
In a press statement signed by the force public relations officer, #CP Emmanuel C. S. Ojukwu, #IGP Arase directed that the suspects should be arraigned in court tomorrow 9th June, 2015 for prosecution.
That statement read: “Having completed investigations on suspected cult confraternities leaders and members arrested on 12th May, 2015 at #Edo #State, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, NPM, fdc has directed that the suspects should be arraigned in court tomorrow 9th June, 2015 for prosecution.”
“It would be recall that the suspects played ignoble roles in acts of terror, vicious inter and intra cult conflicts that led to destruction of lives and property in Edo State.
“The Police high command further appeals to members of public to continue to collaborate with the Police in ensuring that crime is reduced to barest minimum in their areas.
