Few weeks ago, following his devastating and woeful showing at the #gubernatorial election in Delta state, the governorship candidate of the #Labour Party in the #state ordered his party members to defect to the #All Progressives Congress.
The question that remains unanswered at this point in time is not if Ogboru will defect; rather, when will Ogboru be defecting to the #APC?
Speaking to the press during the wedding reception of the #Edo State Governor, #Adams Oshiomhole, and his wife on Friday May 15, 2015, Ogboru disclosed that the time was not right for such a move to materialise.
According to a report by The PUNCH, Great Ogboru, had denied plans to dump his party for the APC.
He described media reports about his alleged plan to dump his party for the APC as a rumour as he was yet to decide whether to defect from the LP to the APC or any other political party.
Ogboru said, “This is something I read in the newspapers. There is time for everything.
“It is not time for that yet. You never can tell when it will happen.”
But, this development is expected considering the fact that he filed his case at the tribunal under Labour Party.
However, following an exclusive scoop from one top aide to Ogboru, Newsbeatportal can confidently report here that Ogboru would defect to the APC should he reclaim his lost mandate at the tribunal.
Plans and meetings have already been held between Ogboru and the top Leaders of the APC, who are ready to back Ogboru to win his case at the election tribunal.
According to one source, Ogboru is the APC governor of #Delta State in waiting.
The last has not been heard from this issue and invariably, we expect more twists.
